About The Principal

Dr. Angel Mesman

Principal, Calvary Baptist School

My name is Dr. Angel Mesman

This school year is my fifth here at Calvary Baptist School. I retired from teaching in the St. Tammany Parish Schools after more than 25 years. I received my doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2018 from Southeastern Louisiana University. I have always enjoyed teaching and working with the children!

I am also an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God organization. My love for God and people has continued with my job here at Calvary Baptist School. In the morning, I teach a devotional to the teachers and staff members before the school day begins. During the week, we have three chapel services (prek3-K, grades 1-4, and grades 5-8) and I teach the Bible story part in the service.

My favorite Bible verse is β€œI can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). As a mature Christian I know that God has called me and equipped me for this job.

The faculty and staff here at Calvary Baptist School are committed to teaching the children important values learned in the Bible and the academic skills needed to be successful in their education now and in the future. We try to stay connected with our parents and family members so that each child who attends our school will reach their maximum potential!
